Pledges 2015

Carers NI

01 July 2015

Carers NI will use Carers Week to encourage individuals and organisations to recognise, value and support carers throughout Northern Ireland. We’ll be there to #breakisolation by giving carers the advice and information they need, when they need it and we'll campaign for lasting change so that no one has to care alone.

Carers Scotland

01 July 2015

This is our call to action to urge individuals, organisations and service providers to wake up to the needs of carers and do their bit. Across Scotland 657,000 - 1 in 8 people - are caring for a loved one. Without help and assistance at the right time carers can find themselves facing financial harship, health problems, emotional stress and relationship breakdown.

Employers for Carers

30 June 2015

Employers for Carers, as a membership forum, knows that not recognising caring as an issue in the workplace puts our businesses at risk. As employers, we know that making the workplace Carer Friendly not only supports our staff but delivers business benefits as well. We pledge to work more to ensure that, through our employer members, all staff are aware and informed of what advice is available for carers. Employers for Carers will also use its expertise and knowledge to help businesses and employers become more Carer Friendly. In the run up to and during Carers Week we will engage a wider audience of employers to recognise the business benefits of addressing this critical agenda.
