Please come along to our Carers’ Forum where we will have guest speakers, refreshments and an opportunity to chat with fellow carers and experts. An adviser from Pictons Solicitors will be speaking on wills, power of attorney and other legal concerns that carers may have. We will also have a social worker from the L&D Hospital discharge team explaining the process for discharge of patients from hospital. The event starts at 10am and finishes at 2pm. We also have a special guest who will have a treat for carers with a relaxing mindfulness session to round up the day from 2.15-3pm.

Carers Afternoon Tea and Pamper Event

We are an in-patient Dementia unit. To celebrate Carers Week we are running a 'Carers Afternoon Tea' on 12th June - this will include tea, cakes, signposting information, fun games and a visit from our Newport West Assembly Member to further recognise the valuable work that our carers do. On 13th June we will be hosting a 'Carers Pamper Morning' with a beauty therapist who will be providing massages to our patient's carers; which we hope will be a relaxing and soothing experience.

Carers Wellbeing Project Launch

Carers from Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham are invited to come along to the official launch of the exciting new Carers Wellbeing Project funded by the Big Lottery People and Places Grant. Meet the new team, find out about the exciting new project, learn more about the support that will be availabto carers and share your ideas of future events and actitivies.
