Sherma's Walk for Carers is a fundraising event, as well as promoting Carers Week. Sherma Batson MBE was a Local and County Cllr and passed away suddenly in Jan 17 She did an immense amount of work for Carers. We are inviting anyone who can spare an hour on 17/06 to come along and join one of the relay groups. The event will last from 11am to 16.30pm. The first group is being led off by the Director of Health and Community Services Iain MacBeath. Each group will do 2 laps of the lake at Fairlands Valley Park in Stevenage. Our aim is to provide improved respite centre facilities, so that we Carers can get one thing we treasure most and that is a break. A few hours to be ourselves and not have to worry. So contact Norman Phillips and get a sponsorship form or get the details of the online fundraising page and come and have a healthy walk. Registration for the walk closes on 10th June. To register for the walk please contact Norman Phillips by email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call or text 07884336012. Please give your name and the time you wish to join the walk.
