Carers FIRST is delighted to be hosting a Young Adult Carer awareness afternoon with afternoon tea at Eastgate Church, Northfleet on Wednesday 14th June 1 – 3.30pm. Several Young Adult Carers will be talking about their caring role, the support they received through school and college and the challenges they faced when support was not available. It will be a great insight into a young adult carers life and how the right support can make such a difference. We are inviting professionals from across all services who could have a positive impact on the lives of carers and will be a great opportunity for teachers, SENCOS, youth workers, health professionals, decision makers and the wider society to have a better understanding of carers and how to recognise who may be fulfilling a caring role within their family. There will also be an opportunity to swap information with other professionals working to support young people and to find out what we are all doing locally. To book Please call our Carers Hub: 0300 030 1555 or Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
