LifeCare Edinburgh have the Carer Positive 'Established' award. They support employees who are carers in a friendly and supportive community.

We pledge to support Carers Week by promoting awareness of the week and beyond - and by sharing information and guidance about how people working in social care can support carers. SCIE support our own staff who have caring responsibilities, to balance their work and caring priorities.

Very helpful and friendly. Am co-carer for my brother, who has early-onset Alzheimer's so can't find his way about. If he wanders off and i try to call him, staff gently prompt him back to me.

We aim to support the needs of all our Young Carers by understanding and breaking down the barriers to learning they may encounter. We are a Rights Respecting School and Article 28 of the UNCRC states that ALL children have a right to an education.

If you are a Carer and like to take a picture or two, why not come along to our Carers Camera Group. You don't need any knowledge of photography or a fancy camera to participate and benefit from this group, as it is for all, irrespective of whether you know the front of a camera from its back. If you are interested in this group they meet at The Carers Centre, 1 Duke Street, Fenton on Wednesday 14th June 10.00 am - 12 noon, no need to book just bob into the Centre.

Humphries Kirk’s Crewkerne office appreciate the difficulties carers face and are keen to support local carers this Carers Week. Humphries Kirk’s Crewkerne office can assist by offering a £50 discount on the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and £100 on the preparation of your Will together with Lasting Powers of Attorney. In addition we would be pleased to offer carers a free half hour appointment to discuss any challenges you are facing in your role as a carer. This is a free celebration event for kinship carers, promoting the important role they play within the wider family. We have a variety of market stall holders giving out relevant information which may support kinship carers and their families. All kinship carers welcome - Tuesday 13 June - 10am - 1pm: light lunch provided.

North Staffs Carers Association will be attending the Carers Marketplace in the Kings Hall at Stoke on Thursday 15th June 2017 from 10:30 - 16:30. The event will include information, stalls and demonstrations by a wide range of local organisations, the event is open to Carers, professionals and anyone who would like to know more about how they can support Carers. Please pop along to our stand and have a chat to one of our support workers, you will be surprised what help is available.
