A week of events to help promote Carers Week and carers rights.

The Carers Hub will work with as many organisations as possible within Plymouth to provide a fun-packed week of events for carers. The Carers Hub will also engage with as many professionals as possible, including employees of private businesses, voluntary sector organisations, GP practices, Plymouth City Council and the New Devon Clinical Commissioning Group. Whilst offering activities and events opportunities for carers within their local communities, we will support those who work with carers via providing information and advice to assist carers to look after their loved ones well, while recognising that they are individuals with needs of their own.

Bristol Black Carers pledge to continually provide support to enable Carers to have a healthy lifestyle, to empower them to have a voice and to share their experiences.

I will tweet during Carers Week about the need for more respite breaks for carers, so that carers will no longer did to fight for them. I will also put up Carers Week posters.

Work to uphold the rights of Young Adult Carers in education, giving them greater access to support, info and advice.

We pledge to help build carer friendly communities and to find hidden carers who are unaware of the support that is available to them, we will be holding many events throughout Carers Week in local stores, community venues and our local hospital. We will work with other local charities and agencies to deliver information and advice. We offer whole family support which is very important and we will be advising carers on their rights with the Care Act 2014 when it comes into effect in April 2015. We pledge to build a better insight into carers lives to increase an understanding of the day-to-day challenges they face.

Hillingdon Carers pledges to raise awareness of unpaid carers in the London borough of Hillingdon and to help identify those who do not recognise themselves as carers.

I will pledge to spread the word of carers week 2015 by using social media.
