We Pledge to promote articles on what cares do so a share of voice is given so others can understand clearly a carers role and hw they need support in different ways - for example sharing James story is perfect as that is one way to help others to understand I am a mother and carer to my own child with special needs so have a greater understanding of how difficult it can be at times

To recognise, respect, and include carers in creative and wellbeing opportunities.

Helpful advice, sorting out paperwork, benefits advice and form filling, friendships formed from attending groups and events with other Carers - I didn't realise what I was missing!

These Angels ALWAYS have a positive, sunny attitude. They visit my Mum, 96 who has Alzheimers, Vascular and Lewy Bodys, 3 times a day & get her ready for meals & outings with me. They are MAGIC!

Crossways CareHome were exceptional with us when my nan when she was at end of life. They made her final days dignified, special and comfortable which gave my mum (her main carer) so much comfort.

Very proud of carers across Rochdale. And I want to say, to the 23,000 supporting loved ones in my borough, you are valued and I'll stand up for you. It's about recognition, fair funding and ensuring you get the right support too, that is just as important as the support you give to others.

Cera promises to support family carers by providing them with high-quality, transparent, comprehensive and consistent respite care service. We pay our care workers 50% more than industry standards – which allows us to employ the top 5% of care workers, based on their experience and qualifications. This means that family carers can rest sure, that their loved one is looked after by the most qualified professionals while they take a break. At Cera we deeply value transparency. Therefore, we provide families with easily accessible and secure digital care reports, which are updated in real-time. This ensures continuity of care for our clients, as family carers are updated on the condition of their loved ones, after they come back from their break. We respect and value family carers expertise on the needs and preferences of the person they care for. Therefore, our client services team and care manager work closely with family carers and their loved ones, to create personalised care plans and choose care workers that they believe will be best for them. Moreover, we offer a range of comprehensive on-demand services including, transportation, medicine delivery, insurance and many more. This means that family carers can access everything they need via their smartphone, from the comfort of their own home. We also pledge to create a carer friendly environment in our office. Our HR team has all the tools needed to support carers and provide them with advice.
