The Trust runs 144 carers' centres across the UK.
Carers centres are spread across the country, in inner-cities and rural areas, reaching carers through outreach and partnerships.
Centres train professionals to recognise and value carers as partners in care. Many run clubs and activities for young carers as well as offering preventative, whole-family work and mentoring in schools.
The centres help carers in many different ways:
* Identifying and offering support to hidden carers through outreach in GP surgeries, hospital wards and other locations.
* Finding the right information and providing a personalised information service.
* Advising carers' of their rights and entitlements, including support for self-funders.
* Supporting carers emotionally through the caring journey.
* Helping to make caring a positive experience, ensuring that carers can share experiences with others and can access breaks, education and employment.
