Improving the lives of carers
and the people they care for

Our supporters

Carers Week is a UK-wide annual awareness campaign. During the week the UK’s 6.5 million carers are celebrated and recognised for the contribution they make to those they care for, and to their communities.

Over the years celebrities and politicians have backed the campaign and got involved at a national, regional and local level. Last year Fiona Phillips did a fantastic job supporting our activities in Westminster attending a photocall with MPs and also a reception in the House of Lords. We were also delighted that the Prime Minister’s wife Samanatha Cameron was able to attend a Carers Week event organised by Richard House Hospice in East London – one of the 1,900 organisations that registered last year.

We are always working with celebrities to help us promote the invaluable contribution made by the UK’s carers looking after ill, frail and disabled friends and family members.

Carers Week is also made possible by the support of our sponsors. Watch this video from our 2012 supporters Skills for Care and Sainsbury's:
