We are delighted to announce that Dame Caroline Dinenage MP, the Member of Parliament for Gosport and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Carers, has agreed to be the Conservative Party’s Parliamentary Champion for Carers Week 2022.
Responding to the announcement, Dame Caroline said:
Every week should be Carers Week. The invaluable role of unpaid carers across our country is a lifeline for those they care for and takes incalculable pressure off our NHS. So many carers are driven by duty, by friendship, by love - to the detriment of their own health, career and relationships. So this Carers Week, I’d encourage everyone to recognise the thousands of unpaid carers, without whom our health and care system simply wouldn’t survive, and get behind the Carers Week campaign to secure them the support they need."
