Afternoon Social Sharing-of-Experiences for Carers (and their Care, or Carers can come alone for some time-off Break!) Food and drinks are not provided but sharing experiences is!

Carers’ week is about sharing experiences as a carer of a family member or another, as a vocation. The dedication and time needed as a carer can be stressful, as I know only too well, being a carer for a family member since 24 December 2013. I can share my personal experiences with other carers and I would like others to share theirs, to give carers the incentive to continue or start thinking about this worthwhile and invaluable vocation! Join me in celebrating Carers’ week by showing how you can motivate others to be a caring community! The social Sharing-of-Experiences Carers’ event take place on: Wednesday, 12th June 2019 and Friday 14th June 2019 Venue: Sainsbury’s Merton café! Both events take place between 1pm – 2pm. Food and drinks are not provided but experiences as a carer, are! Hope to see you there!

Have you added your event for Carers Week?

You can now register your event on the Carers Week map for 2019. Last year there were more than 1,200 events added to our Carers Week Map. This year, Carers Week is in its 25th year and so we hope to see many more amazing events and activities for carers registered on our website!

No matter how big or small your event is, your activity will make a difference to carers in your local area.  Your event could be an information stand in your local hospital or it could be the launch of a new charter for carers in your workplace, or even a coffee morning with the local carers' association. Every activity counts!

The map only shows the events that have been registered on the Carers Week website, and all the regions where these registered events are due to take place.

If you were unable to find your area or any events listed, it may be that local organisations are busy planning their activities but they have not yet added them to our website.

Why not get in touch with organisations in your local area to make sure they're going to make the most of Carers Week?
