Bryngofal Ward Carers Event

Carers event arranged by the patient lead mutual support meeting and arranged with support of the whole multi-professional disciplinary team. Patients are creating/making the invites to a coffee morning wellbeing event 10-12noon Friday 15th June on the ward. Patients plan on inviting their relatives and loved ones. Staff will be on hand to offer support and advice, includes hand-outs and an advice clinic on carers assessments.

Get Connected

On Wednesday 13th June (11am – 2pm) Sefton Carers Centre will be hosting a ‘Get Connected’ event to highlight the free advice and support services available to unpaid carers in Sefton and raise awareness of Carers Week, the annual campaign supporting carers throughout the UK. The Sefton Carers Support Team will be at the event to provide information and advice to carers, as well as specialist guidance from the centre’s Welfare Benefits Advisors and Parent Carers Team. The Sefton Young Carers Service will be available to talk to families with children who have a direct caring role at home, as well as providing information to social care and teaching professionals who would like to find out more about identifying and supporting young carers. Other organisations that provide support to carers in Sefton will also be available to speak to at the event including Sefton Advocacy, Alzheimer’s Society, Living Well Sefton and The May Logan Centre, as well as information and free guides from the Stroke Association and Macmillan Cancer Support. Creative Arts East's Music Making Workshop

Join us on Tuesday 12th June, 1pm till 3pm, for a fantastic music making workshop inclusive to all older people in Norfolk. This workshop is one of six sessions led by Tessa Wingate and organised as part of Creative Arts East's 'Our Day Out' programme. The three year programme engages all older people to try creative and fun music and dance activities and offers the chance to socialise with others, and have some fun trying something new in a supportive and friendly environment. All our 2 hour workshops are led by a professional artist and include a tea and cake break too. We are especially supportive of those living with early to mid stage dementia, carers, those with long term health conditions and those who feel isolated within their community. Ystradgynlais Coffee Hop

Credu Adult Carers are starting their Coffee Hop at Deli Licious 11 am, hopping to Loaf Kitchen Bar at 12 am and continuing to Merlins at 1 pm. All three of these establishments are situated in Station Road in Ystadgynlais. Our aim is to meet with local decision makers and the wider public, talking about different caring roles and sharing experiences. Raising awareness of challenges our carers experience as well as highlighting activities and fun to be enjoyed throughout the year!
