NATIONAL CARERS WEEK 2019 – COME ALONG AND JOIN US! Mon 10 June – Sun 17 June No need to book just turn up! Date for your Diary - ‘CRAFTERNOON TEA’ AT A VENUE NEAR YOU – 10 June to 17 June Getting Carers Connected Carers Week is a great opportunity to raise awareness and recognise the huge contribution carers make. Across the UK today 6.5 million people are carers, supporting a loved one who is older, disabled or seriously ill. Carers Week 2019 is made possible by Rochdale Carers Hub delivering activities in local communities coming together to help Carers get connected. Caring can be a hugely rewarding experience but Carers often find it challenging to take care of their own wellbeing whilst caring. Its impact on all aspects of life, from relationships and health to finances and work, should not be underestimated. Caring without the right information and support can be tough, which is why it is important to ensure carers access support as soon as possible. We are offering ‘Crafternoon Tea’ at a venue near you! You will receive: 2 Craft sessions, making a lovely tea cup and a coaster in line with the theme. (2 sessions) A delicious cream tea for you to enjoy – scone, jam, clotted cream and a refreshing drink A pamper treat, lovely neck and shoulder massage A health check, blood pressure and helpful advice for you to take away A local Solicitor to offer you some important advice you may need A benefit advisor at a couple of the sessions Carer Support Worker – offering you some friendly advice and information to support you in your Caring role A chance to meet up with friends and laugh a little.
