Rhyl Past and Present - Monday June 11th NEWCIS invites you to a special Carers Week event! Interested in taking a look at the history of Rhyl and finding out about the new developments planned for the town? We will meet at Rhyl library (11A Church St, Rhyl LL18 3AA) for 2pm where we will have a guided visit of the museum followed by coffee and cake in the adjoining Porters café. There will then be a walk along the sea-front, guided by a representative from Denbighshire council, and ending at the Pavilion theatre. The area is flat and accessible and there is parking next to the library. Why not come along and celebrate Rhyl’s Past, Present and Future with us? North East Wales Carers Information Service (NEWCIS) are providing a Traditional Afternoon Tea at The Cottage Tearooms, 5 Castle Street, Llangollen for carers to enjoy and socialise. Please contact the Rhyl office on 01745 331181 to book.

10am - 12noon During the morning we will have the British Red Cross on hand to provide bitesize information on first aid using everyday objects. NEW Dance providing some dance taster sessions. Light refreshments will be available throughout the day to keep everyone going. Why not try some gentle yoga from 1.45-2.45pm? 1pm - 4pm All about Employment, Education and Volunteering Drop In Session As a part of Carers Week, organisations will be available to discuss with carers information around employment, education and volunteering. Topics will include: volunteering opportunities, carer allowance entitlement, grants, assessments and more! No appointment needed, just pop in! For more information contact 01352 752525.

11am - 1pm Come and join us for the launch of our brand new website! Followed by an information session from the Red Cross on emergency planning for carers. You are welcome to bring your own laptop or tablet to access the website and our volunteers will be on hand to help you get online. There will be some laptops available for you to navigate the website. Following lunch there will be a tour of the facilities at the college. For more information or to book, contact 01352 752525. Information Stall at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey to promote carer support, sign post to local information and help from Action for Carers Advisors and our Military Carer Advisor. 8.30am - 3.30pm in the main entrance.

Come along and try out some healthy activities for free! There will be aromatherapy and herbal lotions workshops, massage, meditation, health recipe sharing, choir session, Boccia taster, ipad photography and more! 10am-4pm, no need to register but individual sessions are booked first come first served on the day.
