Our campaign for Carers Week 2026

Thank you to everyone who contacted their MP for Carers Week 2026 asking theme to help build carer friendly communities.

Together we called for action across the UK to ensure more communities recognise, value and support unpaid carers. We want to see real and lasting change for carers in our schools, colleges and universities; our health and social care services; our workplaces and businesses; and out and about in the wider community. 

MPs were asked to help make a difference by:

• taking local action to make your area more carer friendly
• raising the voices of unpaid carers in Parliament
• encouraging wider Government action to better support carers
• becoming a Carer Champion, a new initiative launching this Carers Week to encourage MPs to work year-round with carers in their constituency.
