TSB is the headline sponsor for Carers Week 2026.

With origins that stretch back to the Savings Bank movement, TSB has a strong history of creating social and economic value. It was established with the sole aim of helping hardworking local people and communities thrive – a goal to which we remain firmly committed to this day. We employ 5,000 colleagues to help our 5 million retail banking customers, across Britain, to be more confident with their money.

A key pillar to TSB is its Do What Matters Plan – which aims to deliver societal support and initiatives to customers and colleagues alike. This includes support for carers.

We understand that combining caring responsibilities and work can often be challenging. Providing flexibility and understanding when it’s needed most is important. That’s why in June 2020, we launched our Carer’s Policy with up to 70 hours paid leave every year.

TSB’s Carer Passport scheme helps carers outline how their caring responsibilities can impact them at work, and a tailored support plan is agreed using additional policies such as flexible working or additional time off, along with access to a range of health and wellbeing resources. Offering this means colleagues can take the time they need to manage caring responsibilities, while also continuing in a rewarding and successful career.

There are clear benefits to TSB as a business too: colleagues with caring responsibilities are more likely to stay with TSB for longer, and the individual and collective skills, insight, and experience they bring are a significant asset. It’s vital that our carers feel valued and supported so they can continue making an effective contribution, with the flexibility they need to balance work and care. This approach is not just the right thing to do for our colleagues—it’s the right thing for TSB.
