Jim Shannon MP announced as DUP Parliamentary Champion for Carers Week 2023
We are delighted to announce that Jim Shannon MP, the Member of Parliament for Strangford has agreed to be the DUP Parliamentary Champion for Carers Week 2023.
Responding to the announcement, Jim Shannon MP said:
“Caring for others on a one-to-one basis can often be lonely and isolating, when you spend a lot of your time focusing on someone else you may have fallen into the habit of putting yourself, your well-being and your own interests aside. Particularly those who are young carers.
"Carers Week is about YOU and this week we will shine the light on all those wonderful people in our communities who provide care for others to let you know that we see you and we will listen to you because you make a big difference to so many lives.”
